tebow-mania has been all over the news, again. Surprised? As the star qb moves on to the next chapter of his NFL career, there's just one thing--or person--in his way. Mark Sanchez. Yes, the Mark Sanchez that just got a contract extension from the Jets has the Tebow magic shadowing him now. The question now is, why? Do they have a "qb competition" in NY? Did they do it because Tebow can possibly lighten the mood in the Jets' lockerroom? After last season's collapse by the Jets, the blame fell on Sanchez, at least according to some 'anonymous players'. One player said that Mark Sanchez would not work hard because he had no risk of being benched. Sanchez should worry now. The Broncos were a playoff team last year, all thanks to Tim Tebow, and now Denver's former starting qb will be pushing Sanchez to practice and play harder. If Tim Tebow isn't there just to be the backup or to be used in the wildcat formation, there's a problem in the 'big apple'. The fans and players that blame Mark Sanchez for last season will be rooting for Tebow to start, (along with Tebow fans everywhere)--while the fans who realize who took them to the AFC championship two years in a row will be expecting Sanchez to still be the starter. But why did Tebow not go to one of the Florida teams? The place he grew up and went to college. Where he is a hero. Maybe he was given the impression that he had a shot to actually play in NY... No matter how different it may look on the field from any other quarterback, we know he can win in the NFL, so the only surprising part about this situation is...well...Mark Sanchez. The Jets brought in another starting qb while their current qb is being deeply criticized. This screams 'qb controversy'. By AJ Montano
